My Story
About Damien Eves
When I was a kid, I was gifted the Dr Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who.
Actually, it was an award. But I say gift because from reading the book I took away a learning that has remained with me from that moment. The story is about Horton, an elephant, who is a champion for those that don’t have a voice. Horton was all heart; he cared and made a difference. The story really made an impact on me.
My primary motivation is to help others reach their best, and my own desire to expand and go to the next level has led me here.
I’ve walked in your shoes
Over the last thirty years, I’ve worked at all levels of business from middle management through to CEO of a highly successful multi-faceted organisation with a portfolio of 20 companies under my direction. I’ve ridden the market highs and lows, and understand the challenges and issues that you face in running a business in a rapidly changing landscape.
I’ve worked with internal teams and individuals to draw on their strengths to help them reach their best. I’ve guided them with developing good habits for remaining relevant to multi-generational employees. Not to mention, being a manager in an ever-changing work landscape. I have shown that leading from the heart and connecting with your teams, not only makes good humans but even better leaders.
Today, my focus is on working with motivated executives, senior managers and people new to leadership. People who are genuinely inquisitive on what their next best is. Together, we define what that looks like, and I provide the tools and an actionable roadmap for getting where you are to where you want to be.
I believe in lifelong learning. There’s always something new to be learnt.
I’m curious – but not judgmental – about what makes people tick.
I read and listen to podcasts to maintain relevance, my favourite genres: military, biographies, sports and of course, leadership books.
I live and breathe family first and foremost, and believe any career I invest in must support this mantra.
I’m a mad-keen sports fanatic – there’s no escaping basketball and Aussie Rules on my weekends
I have a spongy memory for storing lots of trivia and pop-culture (mostly useless).
